Adapt or die
Over aeons a simple process, harmless in nature, took place.
Whichever composition was more harmonious prevailed.
The odds favoring those most adaptable in times of change,
driving complexity.
The importance of symbiosis with the enveloping environment creating a state called life.
These advances were first copied...
...then mimicked...
...and finally mirrored.
As reliance on abstraction grew, symbolism took hold.
Structured knowledge cultivated in following generations.
And they reasoned..
..."let there be light".
Adapt or die
Fun fact; Although I intended "let there be light" to be a religious reference, it is commonly used in a metaphorical sense to mean dispelling ignorance. So there's that.
Anyways since the next page for the storyline is taking so long - not that I'm in a hurry or anything - I figured I'd give you some food for thought. Enjoy :)
